ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported Saturday that the state has crossed 2 million reported COVID-19 cases.
State health officials added 5,105 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, including 984 people in Central Florida.
Records show 2,004,362 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Florida since the start of the pandemic.

Health officials also reported 65 new virus-related deaths on Saturday, including three people who were not Florida residents.
Of the new deaths reported, three were in Central Florida. Orange County added two new deaths and Volusia County reported one.
Records show 33,337 people have died from COVID-19 complications in Florida since the start of the pandemic.

COVID-19 vaccination efforts also continue across the state.
Records show 4,710,033 people have received a COVID-19 vaccine in Florida.
Vaccine sites in the state have administered 7,188,709 COVID-19 vaccine doses.
