LEESBURG, Fla. — The sale of equipment from the former Cutrale Citrus plant in Leesburg has been postponed until later this month, giving potential buyers another chance to purchase the entire property.

The citrus plant shut down more than two years ago, eliminating more than 100 local jobs.

Auctioneers have postponed the equipment sale until late October, giving interested buyers time to submit proposals for the entire manufacturing campus, including its real estate and infrastructure.

If a deal for the full property is not reached, the plant’s equipment is expected to move forward to auction later this month.
