ORLANDO, Fla. — Several dozen people gathered to protest the Ferguson grand jury decision at a church in Orlando Tuesday evening.
Residents met the Washington Shores church around 6 p.m.
The group said it was disappointed by the grand jury decision to not indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. They called on the U.S. Justice Department to bring federal charges against Wilson.
Some at the protest compared Ferguson to Orlando.
"I don't feel like there's Ferguson here in Orlando, I know there's Ferguson here in Orlando. No doubt in my mind," said Darryl Montgomery, with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference
The protest was organized by the National Action Network.
