Labor Day forecast: Afternoon rain pattern continues, no threat from Danielle, Earl

ORLANDO, Fla. — Decent weather conditions can be expected for the remainder of the holiday weekend.

Temperatures will reach the upper 80s Sunday at the beaches and inland with highs in the low to mid 90s.

Rain and storm chances will be low Sunday with morning showers possible at the beaches followed by a 30 percent chance for isolated showers and storms further inland Sunday afternoon.

That pattern will continue into Monday.

In the tropics, neither Hurricane Danielle nor Tropical Storm Earl are expected to threaten Central Florida.

Danielle has returned to hurricane status after weakening slightly and will continue to lift north through the Atlantic. Ireland and the United Kingdom may see some post-tropical impacts from the storm next weekend.

Tropical Storm Earl will move North of Puerto Rico Sunday before turning north and staying out in the Atlantic. Locally, Earl could create increased surf on the beaches over the next week.
