Lake County Museum of Art to hold student holiday art exhibit reception

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Lake County Museum of Art will present its annual Holiday Card Contest and Exhibit next week.

Because of Tropical Storm Nicole, the art museum postponed the opening reception for the Holiday Card Exhibit to Thursday, Nov. 17.

The exhibit is still expected to be open this weekend.

Guests can vote on their favorite holiday card designs.

The event will feature designs from Lake County elementary through high school students.

Judges will award prizes for each category, separated by elementary, middle and high school.

There will also be a “People’s Choice” prize.

Half of the ticket proceeds to vote at the opening reception will benefit the students’ schools.

The exhibit will run until Nov. 26.
