ORLANDO, Fla. — The next time to rent a Lime e-scooter or e-bike you’ll be given the option to round up the cost of your ride to benefit the Orlando Bike Coalition.

Officials said the money will go toward the coalition’s work to advocate for safe, walkable, and bikeable streets in Orlando.

It’s part of Lime’s “Lime Hero” program, which is already active in nearly 100 markets globally.

“We’re excited to launch our Lime Hero program in Orlando and we’re honored to partner with the Orlando Bike Coalition as we work towards our shared goals of making it easy and safe to get around on two wheels,” said Trisha Botty, senior manager of government relations at Lime.

Founded in 2014, the Orlando Bike Coalition is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization advocating for the development of world-class bicycling infrastructure in Orlando.

“The funds raised through this program will help our advocacy efforts to improve safety and bicycle infrastructure throughout Orlando,” said Beth Resta, vice president of the Orlando Bike Coalition.
