ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Magic have signed guard Victor Oladipo, a first round draft pick, Rob Hennigan announced Sunday.
Oladipo was the second overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft. He joins the NBA after playing for Indiana University for three seasons.
While playing for the Hoosiers, Oladipo appeared in 104 games and scored 1,117 points. He also set a school record with 78 steals in a single season.
Oladipo made his first appearance at the Amway Center Sunday afternoon in a summer game against the Boston Celtics.
The Magic defeated the Celtics in the game on the arena's practice court. The final score was 95 to 88.
