MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A 43-year-old Weirsdale man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on State Road 25 in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the man was driving a 2014 Chevrolet pickup southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The truck went onto the east shoulder, hit a utility pole and a fence, then overturned. The driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Fire Rescue.
According to the FHP report, the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
FHP has not released the driver’s name.
