Man's death at Kissimmee apartment complex ruled homicide, police say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A man’s death last week at a Kissimmee apartment complex has been ruled a homicide, police announced Monday.

Carlos Olavo Resende, 34, was found dead inside a silver Nissan Altima at the Reef Club Apartments.

Police said Resende drove his car to the area of 1905 Reef Club Drive last Thursday and was discovered dead inside his car Friday morning.

"Crazy, sad. (I'm) super sad. It never crossed my mind that someone that good-hearted, that something like this can happen," Resende's friend Guilherme Batini said.

Police have not released details on how he died, but said they are searching for whoever is responsible.

There is a $5,000 reward for information on Resende's death.
