ORLANDO, Fla. — The U.S. military sank a floating refueling station in the Pacific Ocean that officials alleged was being used by drug trafficking operations.
U.S. Southern Command released video footage of the operation on Monday.
The incident marks the first known strike of this nature in more than two months.
Unlike previous strikes targeting drug boats, military teams safely removed crew members from the vessels before sinking them.
No deaths were reported during the action.
