Motorcyclist dies in crash on I-95 in Brevard County

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A motorcyclist died early Wednesday along Interstate 95 in Brevard County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Shortly after midnight, troopers responded to the I-95 overpass at County Road 509.

FHP determined that the crash involved a motorcycle and another vehicle on the northbound lanes of the interstate.

For several hours, troopers diverted motorists from I-95 onto CR-509 and back onto the interstate.

Investigators said that the motorcyclist, who they did not identify, died at the crash site.

Troopers reopened Interstate 95 prior to Wednesday morning’s traffic rush.
