Motorcyclists in clown masks terrorize woman at Oviedo gas station, police say

OVIEDO, Fla. — A group of men wearing clown masks attacked a woman at an Oviedo gas station on New Year's Eve, according to police.

Police said the woman's daughter called 911 to report the attack at the RaceTrac station on Alafaya Woods Boulevard.

"They had masks on," the woman's daughter told the 911 dispatcher. "They tried to grab her."

The victim told police that men wearing clown masks and riding motorcycles were terrorizing customers in the parking lot.

"He started shaking his finger at me like, 'I'm getting you,'" the woman told the 911 dispatcher.

"There were five motorcyclists who were driving recklessly through the parking lot, doing wheelies," said Oviedo Police Chief Jeff Chudnow.

The woman said she was able to drive away, but said the men followed her for a while.

""I went through the red light and everything," the woman said. "I would just like to see if anybody's hurt down there, because there were three of them. I mean, they were going bonkers."

Oviedo residents said they aren't accustomed to hearing about incidents like the one New Year's Eve.

"I have four daughters, I have a wife. (It's) family-oriented around here," said resident Joe Iacono.

"That's like a worst nightmare," said resident Karla Borelli. "That's just wild. I never even thought of clowns on motorcycles."

Police said there were no injuries reported in the incident, and they are still trying to track down the men
