ORLANDO, Fla. — As a part of Move Over Awareness Month, Florida state troopers released video of an SUV launching into the air after crashing into a tow truck.
The SUV ended up more than 500 feet from the tow truck after crashing into it.
A local mother who lost her 24-year old son while he was assisting in a crash on State Rode 408 is helping with FHP’s campaign.
She hopes to remind drivers that the state law requires them to move over at least one lane for emergency and service vehicles to prevent crashes.
If you can’t move over, drivers are required to reduce their speed 20 mph below the posted speed limit.
