WALLOPS ISLAND, Va. — A rocket is set to launch Wednesday night from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
The launch of a sounding rocket is set for sometime between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., according to NASA officials.
The flight will test the performance of a rocket motor and other technology.
The Wallops site underwent millions of dollars in repairs after a rocket exploded just after liftoff last year.
The launch pad and several buildings were damaged in the explosion which also destroyed a supply ship headed for the International Space Station.
