, Fla. — The City of Ocala will host a free Customer Appreciation Day on Thursday, Oct. 1, with food, music, family activities and bill-credit vouchers for eligible utility customers.
The event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. at Citizens’ Circle, 151 SE Osceola Ave., behind City Hall.
Current City of Ocala utility customers may be eligible to receive one bill-credit voucher for each qualifying municipal service on their account.
Participating services include Ocala Electric Utility, Ocala Fiber Network, Public Works sanitation and Water Resources.
City staff will be at the event to verify customer account information and eligibility.
Free activities and food
The event will also feature bucket truck rides, face painting, Kona Ice and music from a live DJ.
Food and drinks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Representatives from city departments will also be available to answer questions about municipal services, programs and resources.
The event is free and open to everyone. A City of Ocala service account is not required to attend, but only eligible current utility customers can receive bill-credit vouchers.
