• Officials delay Atlas V rocket launch

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - The launch of an Atlas V rocket that will carry a national security sattelite payload into space has been delayed by officials.

The United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket was originally scheduled to launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station sometime between 8:26 and 9:25 Monday morning.

According to officials, an environmental control system duct that failed near its connection to the Mobile Launch Platform was located on Saturday.

The rocket will need to be rolled back to the Vertical Integration Facility to fix the issue.

Officials say the launch has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 20th. The rocket will blast off from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
