Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and City Commissioner Bakari Burns were at the shop this week to help celebrate.

Both leaders were there before the lunch rush to highlight half-a-century of the restaurant’s service to the community.

Burns named Art’s Sandwich Shop as the district’s business of the month and presented the owner, Sybyal Adkins, with a proclamation.
