A coordinator said these rabbits are not used to being out in the wild, and don’t have the same instincts as wild rabbits do to find food and keep themselves safe.

Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions said it’s the only rescue in Central Florida that cares for rabbits.

Officials with Orlando Rabbit Care said “we are looking for a shelter where we can house all of the bunnies to get them to safety and provide the medical attention they need and then move them to foster homes.”

Orlando Rabbit Care said additional volunteers and foster homes are needed.
