Central Florida veteran in need receives new roof

ORLANDO, Fla. — A Central Florida veteran was selected to receive a very helpful donation.

Universal Roofing and Contracting installed a new roof this week for Air Force veteran William Lee Turner.

Through a partnership with Rebuilding Together Central Florida, Universal Roofing works to identify veterans eligible for the assistance.

“That’s why I was climbing the roof. I don’t have that kind of income to spend $20,000 on a roof,” Turner said.

Since the start of the Roof Deployment Project in 2016, more than 350 military members have received new roofs.
