Driver dies after car jumps median causing head-on collision, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating a deadly crash on State Road 535 and Overstreet Road in Orange County.

The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021

According to troopers, a car driving northbound on SR-535 cross the center median colliding head-on with a car traveling southbound.

The driver of the southbound car was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the car that caused the crash was transported to Celebration Hospital.

Southbound lanes of SR-535 remain closed while troopers investigate this deadly crash.

Troopers remain at the hospital in order to evaluate the driver.
