Family escapes early morning house fire in Ocoee

OCOEE, Fla. — A family awoke early Monday morning to find their Ocoee home on fire.

The fire broke out at a home on Alclobe Circle just before 3 a.m.

The homeowner told Channel 9 that there were several people inside at the time and his daughter was the one who smelled the smoke and woke everyone up.

Two people who were inside the house had to go to the hospital for cuts they received after breaking a window to escape.

It is not clear how the fire started.
