ORLANDO, Fla. — Knakeesha Samuels’ business has been hurt by the pandemic.

She’s created a citywide scavenger hunt to crisscross the Orlando area. By solving riddles and clues, participants will be directed toward black-owned businesses around town where they’ll take pictures, them on social media and potentially be seen by hundreds or thousands of followers.

The event, called “Black Friday Orlando,” runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, on Juneteenth, the official end of slavery. People can sign up to join the nearly 600 people already participating. Click here to register.
