Motorcycle rider killed in early morning crash, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly early morning crash involving a motorcycle.

The crash happened Sunday at around 1:50 a.m. near the intersection of South Orange Blossom Trail and West Michigan Street in Orange County.

Troopers said a Ford Edge was traveling southbound on South Orange Blossom Trail in the left turn and was making a turn onto Michigan Street.

A Honda CBR600 was heading northbound on South Orange Blossom Trail when Edge turned into its path.

According to a news release, the front of the motorcycle hit the right side of the SUV.

The motorcycle rider, a 34-year-old Kissimmee man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The male SUV driver, 38, remained at the scene and was injured in the crash.

This crash remains under investigation.
