Orange County 5K connects healthy lifestyle to Oakland Heritage celebration

OAKLAND, Fla. — Healthy West Orange hosted its 6th annual 5K event this weekend.

The Orange County event went along with the Oakland Heritage Day that honored the town’s 135th anniversary at the Oakland Nature Preserve.

Orlando Health hosted wellness activities at the celebration, including fitness demonstrations.

According to a news release, more than 300 people participated in the race, which is the largest attendance.

Health West Orange said they hope to inspire the Orange County community to be happy, healthy and active.
