This major artist will perform at Camping World Stadium in 2022

ORLANDO, Fla. — Update:

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer announced Thursday that Billy Joel will perform at Camping World Stadium on March 12.

Tickets to his only stadium show in Florida will go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 12.

The singer/songwriter/composer is the sixth best-selling recording artist and the third best-selling solo artist.

Officials with the city of Orlando are set to make an announcement this week about a “major rock show” coming to The City Beautiful.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will join City of Orlando Chief Venues Officer Allen Johnson on Thursday to give details about the major event at Camping World Stadium.

Officials have not said which artist or groups are coming, but hinted the show will be played at the city-owned venue early next year.

Camping World Stadium has been used for many major concerts and events before.

Florida recording artist Flo Rida was the headliner for the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl at Camping World, and other notable part performers include DJ Khaled, JAY-Z & Beyonce, Metallica and Gun N’ Roses.

Major events seen at Camping World Stadium also included Monster Jam and WrestleMania.

Officials said “this high-profile stadium show is further proof that Orlando continues to see a huge return on its investment in thoroughly reconstructing the stadium in 2014 and continuing the modernization with active construction upgrades now.”

Camping World Stadium is already set to host EDC Orlando on Nov. 12 through 14, and concerts feathering Def Leppard with Motley Crew on June 19, 2022 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Sep. 15, 2022.
