Orlando to vote on tearing down former 7-Eleven location for new green space at Lake Eola

ORLANDO, Fla. — Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando may get larger, sooner than expected.

Officials are planning to tear down a former 7-Eleven store location at the corner of Rosalind Avenue and Central Boulevard to build a green space on the property.

The store’s lease was originally set to end in the summer of 2023.

However, Orlando city leaders are scheduled to vote Monday on whether to terminate that lease this year instead.
