ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a driver who killed a man walking near the Florida Mall on Saturday morning.
The driver was headed west on Sand Lake Road around 6:30 a.m., when he struck the victim who was crossing the road near Golden Sky Lane.
Troopers said debris left behind appear to belong to a 2005 to 2007 red Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the vehicle sustained heavy damage to its front end in the crash.

Charges are pending against the driver for fleeing the scene of a deadly crash, troopers said.
