Witnesses tell police driver was weaving in and out of traffic prior to deadly I-4 crash

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A deadly crash that shut down Interstate 4 on Saturday evening is under investigation.

The crash shut down westbound I-4 near Formosa Avenue for a few hours on Saturday while troopers investigated the crash.

The crash happened at 5:40 p.m. after witnesses told troopers that a white sedan was weaving in and out of traffic.

According to troopers, the sedan cut off an SUV that swerved to avoid a collision. The SUV flipped over multiple times and crashed into the sedan.

The passenger of the SUV, a 43-year-old Venezuelan man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of both vehicles suffered minor injuries, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
