Police: Missing woman found, search continues for estranged husband

ORLANDO, Fla.,None — Officials say a missing woman has been found safe, but police are still searching for her estranged husband who allegedly forced her out of her apartment and into the woods Friday night.

Police responded to the Waterstone Apartments on Long Road around 11:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance.

Witnesses told police the victim, Wanda Hollis, was heard screaming for help before being forced out of her apartment window by the suspect, Willie Hollis Sr. Police say Hollis Sr. was then seen leading Wanda Hollis into the woods bordering the apartment complex.

Police conducted an extensive search of the area to find the couple. Wanda Hollis was located unharmed late Saturday morning, according to police. Officials say they are in the process of interviewing her to determine what happened during the incident.

According to court records, a domestic violence injunction was filed against Hollis Sr. in mid-January. The injunction indicates the couple has children.

Investigators say a warrant has been issued for Hollis Sr. for aggravated stalking. There's no word if additional charges will be added.
