• Ormond Beach police arrest man accused in Craigslist home rental scam

    ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Ormond Beach police said they arrested a DeBary man after he tried to rent a house he didn't own to undercover officers.

    Police said they received a tip that a house on Hand Avenue that was for sale was listed on Craigslist as a rental property.

    According to police, investigators answered the Craigslist ad and met with a man who requested $100 down and $2,850 for first month, last month and security.

    Police arrested Raymond Oliver, 34, on charges of burglary of a dwelling and petit theft first offense.
