Twenty-five students and 11 school staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 in Osceola County, school officials said.

Teachers outside of a county school board meeting Tuesday said they are not happy.

Some teachers said they are being told some students are now learning digitally but they are not getting an explanation about why.

The Osceola County School District said, starting the week of Aug. 31, 395 students and 25 staff members were asked to quarantine after 25 students and 11 staff members tested positive.

Kissimmee Middle School, Gateway High School, Harmony High School, Osceola High School and Tohopekaliga High School all have the highest numbers of students in quarantine.

Harmony Middle School was shut down for two weeks last month after 10 staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

Still even with the district’s transparency when it comes to the numbers, teachers said they do not feel like they are in the loop.
