ST. CLOUD, Fla. — Two young children sustained minor injuries after a Saturday morning house fire on Seneca Trail in St. Cloud, according to St. Cloud Fire Rescue.
Fire crews and law enforcement arrived shortly after 9 a.m. to find an active blaze in the main living area of the home. They confirmed that everyone had evacuated and swiftly put out the fire.
The fire was likely sparked by children playing with a lighter, officials said.
An infant from the home was taken to Nemours for additional care. The Florida Department of Children and Families and the American Red Cross were reached out to support the family during this time.
St. Cloud Fire Rescue, the State Fire Marshal’s Office and St. Cloud Police are continuing to investigate.
