OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Cowboys from across the country will ride into Osceola County this weekend for the annual Silver Spurs Rodeo.
Hosted every third weekend in February, the event features all seven traditional rodeo events: bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, and barrel racing.
The event, which runs Friday through Sunday, draws contestants from all over the nation, many national champions, to compete for $100,000 in prize money.

Organizers say the event has been a tradition in Osceola County since 1944.
Tickets to the rodeo are $20 per adult on Friday and Saturday, and $15 per adult on Sunday. Children age 10 and under are admitted free all weekend.
All Osceola County students can also receive free admission to the Silver Spurs Rodeo performance Friday to celebrate “Rodeo Day” in Osceola County.
