Gunman ID'd in double shooting at Orlando's Fun Spot America

ORLANDO, Fla. — A man accused of shooting two people at Fun Spot America in Orlando has been identified.

Police said Jamal LaFortune, 21, opened fire inside the amusement park on Saturday night, hitting a man in the shoulder and a teen in the foot.

Both victims were brought to Orlando Regional Medical Center by ambulance in stable condition.

Their injuries are considered non-life-threatening, officials said.

Investigators have not said why LaFortune started shooting, but officers said they chased him down on foot and arrested him.

"I'm shocked. I don't know what to say," said visitor Manny Rodriguez. "It's scary because you never know when it can happen."

Fun Spot posted this statement on Facebook: "It broke our hearts that our guests at our Orlando location had to experience the incident last night when they came to create positive and fun memories with their family and friends. Like many of our guests, we are disturbed that anyone would resort to violence in any situation, and we will always do our best to make sure your visit to our theme parks will be a safe-clean-fun experience."

WFTV found out Fun Spot America has off-duty Orlando police officers in the park during the evenings.

Security cameras were working when the gunman opened fire, but Fun Spot has not released the video.
