BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Palm Bay police continued to search for a man investigators believe shot a taxi driver during an attempted robbery.
Surveillance footage from the Walgreens store at Port Malabar Boulevard and Babcock Street where the shooting took place was released by police Tuesday.
The victim, Stephen Davis, 31, was stopped in his taxi at about 1 a.m. in the parking lot of the store, police said.
He told investigators that he was watching a video on his cellphone during a break when he was approached by the gunman.
In the video, you can see Davis drive away as the gunman chases him on foot.
During the incident, Davis was shot several times, police said.
He was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.
Anyone with information about the shooting or the shooter is asked to call law enforcement officials.
