Video released in Michelle Parker case shows Hummer on night of disappearance

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police released new video evidence in the Michelle Parker case on Monday, a day after the two-year anniversary of her disappearance.

Previously undisclosed video evidence was released at an OPD news conference.

For the first time, detectives in the case said they believe more than one person was involved in Parker's disappearance.

The video shows Parker's Hummer at 8:55 p.m. at the intersection of Vineland and Conroy roads on the night she disappeared. The vehicle was stopped at a red light about three-quarters of a mile from where it was later found.

Investigators said brightly colored signs that advertised Parker's business were missing from the vehicle when it was spotted at the stoplight.

"The car is not following anybody; nobody is following the car," said an investigator.

Sunday was the two-year anniversary of Parker's disappearance. The Orlando mother disappeared after appearing on an episode of "The People's Court" with her ex-fiancé Dale Smith Jr. Soon afterward, police named Smith the prime suspect in the case.

Parker was last seen dropping off the couple's young twins at  Smith's townhouse off of Goldenrod Road. Her black Hummer and cellphone were recovered after her disappearance, but she has never been found.

Smith hasn't been charged in connection with Parker's case. Weeks after the disappearance, Smith was given full custody of the couple's young twins. Parker's mother, Yvonne Stewart, has unsuccessfully tried to get custody of the children.

On Monday, Stewart made a plea to Smith's mother, Tammy Smith, who is also a grandmother to Parker's children.

"It's been two years. There has been no help, no phone call, no condolences from you or your family members. That is not normal, innocent behavior," Stewart said. "Please call Crimeline, Tammy. Because you know where your children are and we don't know where ours is."

Almost a year ago, police released video of Parker going through a Kentucky Fried Chicken drive-thru the day she disappeared.
