Police search for man who exposed self to young girl at Walmart

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police are hoping surveillance video can help them identify a man who they said exposed himself to an 11-year-old girl at a Walmart store on Monday.

Investigators said the man followed the girl around the Walmart on Kirkman Road before he eventually squatted down next to her and exposed himself.

"I've come to this Walmart quite a few times, I often go there. I never heard anything like that happening before. It's a shame that it is," Walmart shopper Sam Rossi said.

An incident report stated the victim was traumatized and her grandmother alerted Walmart staff, who called police.

"That's ridiculous. I think an old man like that needs to be executed," shopper Haley Hunt said.

The suspect fled from the store before police officers arrived. When arrested, he will face charges that include lewd conduct upon a child less than 16 years of age.

Authorities said the man appeared to be about 50 years old and was possibly Hispanic, with a light complexion.

Walmart released a statement to Eyewitness News saying the company is committed to catching the suspect and will assist investigators in any way possible

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Orlando Police Department.
