Orlando family begs son's killer to come forward

ORLANDO, Fla. — Homicide investigators and the family of a man slain over the weekend are asking the public for help with the investigation into the man's death, Orlando police said Thursday.

Adam Williams, 25, was shot and killed early Sunday morning at the Cinderlane apartments at The Village Springs apartments near Lee Road and Orange Blossom Trail, police said.

Williams' family told Channel 9 they were devastated by his death.

"That was my baby. He was sweet, lovable, and he would do anything for you," Minnie Williams said.

Adam Williams' father said he believes the shooting was related to the deaths of two people in a nearby apartment complex, whose bodies were found Friday night.

The victim’s mother could not fight back tears as Williams’ grandmother spoke about the killing.

“Adam was a very sweet person and a very caring and person and an outgoing person,” said Daisy Fisher.

The victim’s sister, mother and grandmother spoke directly to the person who pulled the trigger.

"So I'm asking whoever it is, you better turn yourself in. You need to turn yourself in, because I'm praying and praying you will be caught," said Minnie Williams.
Police have not confirmed that the slayings are related.

A witness told Channel 9 that Adam Williams was alive for some time after he was shot.

"He was crying for help, pretty much begging for his life -- 'Can somebody help me please?' I called the police after that," Tony Searsy said.

Anyone with information on Williams' death is asked to call the Orlando Police Department.
