Record highs possible during a windy Friday in Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — Record heat is possible Friday in Central Florida.

The high temperature in Orlando should reach around 90 degrees on Friday.

Our area will also be windy and dry, which is increasing our fire threat.

Wind gusts could be near 35 mph in some areas.

The dry and breezy conditions can make outdoor fires spread quickly.

Our temperatures will stay hot Saturday until a front moves through in the evening.

A couple of showers will be possible this weekend as the front moves through Florida.

High temperatures will reach the low 80s on Sunday.
