Rep. Alan Grayson gets into 'You pushed me' scuffle with reporter

Rep. Alan Grayson, of Florida, got into a loud scuffle at an event in Philadelphia with a Politico reporter, and it was caught on camera.

“You pushed me,” the reporter said.

“No, you pushed me,” said Grayson.

The scuffle began when the reporter asked Grayson about allegations of domestic abuse.

“You're pushing me. You're getting in my way. You're getting in my way, my friend. You're assaulting a member of Congress,” Grayson said.

“I'm not assaulting you,” said the reporter.

“You're pushing me," said Grayson.

The allegations of abuse were made by Grayson's ex-wife, Lolita Grayson.

PHILADELPHIA — “Do you think this is a proper way to conduct an interview?” Grayson said.

“Sir, why do you think your wife is making these allegations?” the Politico reporter said.

“You know, I hope someone comes here and arrests you,” Grayson said.

The Politico said Lolita Grayson provided documents showing that she called police on her husband at least twice in Virginia and two times in Florida, one time claiming he threatened to kill her.

The Politico said the first reported incident was in 1994.

Grayson has denied the allegations of abuse.

Hours after Politico reported on Lolita Grayson's allegations on Tuesday, Democracy for America and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee rescinded endorsements in Grayson's Senate primary against U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, according to the Associated Press.

In court, Lolita Grayson accused him of abuse and infidelity, while Grayson called her a gold digger and said she hit him.

The marriage was annulled last year after a court determined she had not divorced her first husband before marrying Grayson.

She is appealing the annulment.
