When a couple from New York saw the virtual 3D home tour of the house at 13337 Kirby Smith Road in Orlando’s Lake Nona area, they fell in love with it.
So much so that they flew to Central Florida, looked at the home, bought it and flew back the same day, listing agent Peter Luu told the Orlando Business Journal.
They paid $6 million for the 9,609-square-foot lakeside estate on June 14, marking the most expensive single-family home sales in the 32827 ZIP code, which includes Lake Nona and Orlando International Airport, since 2009.
Even as sales activity drops off among the priciest segment of the region’s residential real estate sector, the deal on Kirby Smith Road shows there still is appetite for premium-priced homes in Orlando.
