Seminole Co. investigators search for stolen credit card ring

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Investigators all over Seminole County are trying to track down a group of thieves who are targeting store after store using stolen credits cards.

Surveillance video in a Lake Mary retail store shows a woman buying large amounts of clothes with stolen credit cards, according to investigators.

Cops said the whole time she was shopping, her accomplices were watching nearby.

Investigators said the thieves got the cards when they hit a Mattress Factory.

While two of the thieves distracted the clerk, the other one stole the clerk's purse and credit cards and then they all took off before anyone had realized what had happened, according to investigators.

Later the thieves brought those stole cards to another store to go shopping.

Investigators believe the same crew has been targeting stores all over Seminole County.

Eyewitness News obtained video that shows one of the thieves in the act last week.

She went behind the counter of another business and stole cash and cards.

Cops believe the group has around five members and is traveling around using the same scheme.
