Seminole County call center workers claim they haven't been paid

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — 9 Investigates learned employees at a Seminole County call center haven't been paid for weeks of work, and police were called Tuesday when the workers showed up to collect their paychecks.

One employee of Quality Services Network said he's owed more than $1,000.

Channel 9 went to the call center for answers, but people inside said a new call center recently opened and there was nothing they could do.

9 Investigates obtained cellphone video showing the end of a confrontation last month.

It shows what happened after workers arrived at the Longwood call center after saying they had not been paid for weeks.

Elmo Ramos said he started recording when the confrontation became violent.

9 Investigates obtained an arrest report that shows Roderic Boling was arrested and accused of threats and robbery by sudden snatching.

The report never stated if he had a role with the company.

Ramos says he went to Boling for the money he says he's owed.

"About $1,600" Ramos said.

Boling told us he's not connected.

"I don't work here. It's not my company," he said.

Boling said his wife was affiliated with the previous call center and the new one.

When Channel 9’s Ty Russell asked for a comment from his wife, he said she was home with the flu.

State records show Quality Services Network is the company inside this shopping center.

It shows it's active and has been since last year January.

Russell couldn't find any contact information for Justin Sloat, the listed president.

Quality Services Network closed last month and a new call center took over.

Workers said they've made complaints with the FBI.

Russell reached out to the U.S. Labor Department but has not heard back.
