‘Our hearts go out to the family’: 2 toddlers die after being pulled from Seminole County pond, deputies say

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Two toddlers died after they were pulled from a pond Sunday evening after they wandered out of a home, Seminole County deputies said.

Deputies said the toddlers were reported missing around 7:20 p.m. at the Highcroft Point townhomes off Wekiva Springs Road near Longwood.

After a search, both 2-year-old David Sparks and 3-year-old Davielle Sparks were found in a nearby pond, officials said.

Deputies said both were taken to a hospital.

On Monday morning, deputies said both toddlers died. They said there is no indication of foul play.

“This is obviously very sad and our hearts go out to the family,” deputies said.
