SANFORD, Fla. — Emergency crews responded to an aircraft emergency near the 2021 Orlando Air and Space Show on Sunday.
Reports came in at around 5 p.m. of a plane that needed to make an emergency landing along East 29th Street in Sanford, not far from the Orlando-Sanford International Airport.

The Orlando Air and Space Show was held at the airport over the weekend and featured the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
Seminole County firefighters said a participant in the air show was leaving and had problems with his gauges after taking off.

The plane was experiencing a coolant issue and the pilot had to turn around and make an emergency landing.
Firefighters said the pilot landed without incident and there were no reported injuries.
