Sanford homeowners can apply for up to $30,000 in critical home repairs

Sanford income-qualified homeowners can receive up to $30,000 for critical housing rehabilitation projects

SANFORD, Fla. — Income-qualified Sanford homeowners who need critical repairs may be eligible for up to $30,000 through the city’s CDBG Housing & Rehabilitation Program.

The program can help cover repairs in up to two approved trade areas, including roofing, air conditioning and heating systems, electrical work, plumbing, windows and doors, and other eligible home repairs.

Pre-applications will be accepted beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5. The application window closes at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16.

Residents can submit a pre-application online or in person at Sanford City Hall.

City officials said the program is intended to help qualifying homeowners address urgent repair needs and maintain safe, livable homes.
