Seminole, Brevard investigators honored for work on child exploitation cases

The Officers of the United States Attorneys recognized investigators Tuesday in Seminole and Brevard counties for helping to put those who prey on children behind bars.

Each department has investigated more than 100 child exploitation cases and put away 100 criminals.

Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma and Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey accepted awards on behalf of the investigators.

“We find dedicated, professionally trained to make it their lives’ work to protect abused and neglected and abandoned children,” Lemma said.

Each investigator was awarded separately in an off-camera ceremony.
