"Shipt" to offer Publix online grocery shopping, home delivery

TAMPA, Fla. — Publix fans may soon be able to get groceries delivered to their door, thanks to a new startup delivery company.

"Shipt" delivery is coming to Florida with promises of grocery delivery in under an hour.

Customers can sign up for the service and then order their groceries online, including Publix subs.

Shipt will begin its operation in the Tampa area, but it is not known when the company will expand to central Florida.
