Shoumana Abelanda Toutoute, a nineteen-year-old woman, died at the hospital after being shot overnight

2:30 p.m. Update

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A young woman shot overnight has died at the hospital, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was identified as Shoumana Abelanda Toutoute, 19, OCSO said. Detectives are following leads and are asking anyone with information or who witnessed anything before or after the shooting to come forward.

Investigators said they have not found anything so far indicating that anyone inside the home was specifically targeted for violence.

Orange County deputies confirmed a 19-year-old woman was shot inside the Lorenzo at East Mil apartment.

Deputies said the victim was taken to a hospital and listed in critical condition.

Officials said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

Deputies in Orange County responded to an active crime scene early Thursday morning inside an apartment complex.

An investigation started around midnight at the Lorenzo at East Mil apartment on Lake Heritage Circle.

Several Orange County deputies and crime scene investigation unites responded to the area.

Deputies have crime scene tape blocking off several buildings inside of the complex.

Online records show deputies responded to a “911 Emergency” in the area, but it’s unclear what exactly happened.
