BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — After a record-setting October, November and December in tourist development tax revenue, the Space Coast Office of Tourism has its sights set on 2022.

A million-dollar tourism campaign kicks off later this month, and the tourism office is hoping to break some records.
At the end of last year, tourism development tax revenue was higher than before the pandemic.
Tourism officials said recent rocket launches have boosted the local economy.

After a record-setting October, November and December in tourist development tax revenue, the Space Coast Office of Tourism has its sights set on 2022.
âAs far as looking forward, I think weâre very positive,â said Peter Cranis, executive director for the Space Coast Office of Tourism. âWe think January was strong from all the hotel numbers weâve seen.â
Spring break is also just around the corner, as is the office of tourismâs new $1.1 million marketing campaign that launches later this month.

Launches, beaches, cruises and area attractions will all be part of the campaign to bring more visitors to the area.
The Space Coast Office of Tourism said tourism development tax revenue paid for a lot of local projects, including park improvements and beach renourishment.
